JANE MCLEAN

JANE MCLEAN is a dance artist who teaches, facilitates, performs, creates & plays capoeira. She currently works as a Dance Development Artist with Cheshire Dance & as a Visiting Lecturer on the University of Chester Dance degree programme as well as developing her own independent dance work with Fluxus Collective in Chester. An award-winning graduate of The University of Chester & Laban’s unique Diploma in Dance Studies, Jane is keen to push the limits of physicality & further enquiries into language, interaction & cultural heritage through bodily exploration.  Her artistic practice is rooted in somatic exploration & awareness of sensation. Most recently she has been awarded an MA in Dance with distinction from The University of Chester. Jane also runs her own capoeira social enterprise, Rastros no Ar which brings the highest quality capoeira experiences to a wide variety of community, school & professional groups in Cheshire & the wider North West.
