THE COMPANY

MOVING DUST create ground-breaking performance projects. Our work aims towards:

accessing the space inside | making the invisible visible | freeing us from ourselves | changing what we think we know | moving people to live

Led by Artistic Director Kate Sagovsky, along with a range of Associate Artists, the company draws on a large, international network of long-term collaborators from all disciplines for each different project. We use unique processes to create integrated & unusual work in which the textual, visual, physical, & experiential strands of the performance are of equal importance. The result is work that is hybrid in form, blurring the boundaries between theatre, dance, installation, & live art.

Our work has been performed to critical acclaim at venues & festivals around the UK (including: Soho Theatre, The Bush, The Arcola, New Wolsey Theatre, The Place, Ovalhouse, Camden People’s Theatre, Zoo Venues, & Pleasance Courtyard). It has been described as: “raw, uncompromising & very beautiful… leaving vapour trails of brilliance in its wake” (The List); “deeply moving…provocative & stimulating” (The Scotsman); “smart, sensitive, & strongly performed” (The Stage).

We believe in open access for all & aim to reflect this through creative engagement with a broad range of audiences & the removal of barriers to access - we seek to find innovative ways to include those who may not normally feel able, or be able, to come to the theatre. We fight for structural equality through our practice & performance.
