He loves her (he thinks) but somehow he just can’t seem to tell her. Maybe it's because he thinks too much, & talks too little. Maybe it's because there just aren't the right words. Or maybe it's because he's frightened. All the time.

HALF MAN / HALF CLAM examines the humour & frustration of living in a grey world where connections are missed (or misunderstood at best), sentences hang half-finished, & life seems like one long stutter. Live folk music from Jamie Doe & Zac Gvi of The Magic Lantern provides an original soundtrack to a fusion of puppetry, dance, & confessional storytelling. This is the tale of anyone who’s ever had a romantic encounter so bad it’s funny. Part gig, part stand-up, part-theatre this is romantic (tragi) comedy for the situationship generation.

Will he ever work it out?
Perhaps the answer is easier than he thinks...

“ HALF MAN / HALF CLAM is a gem... The movement is lithe, teasing & expressive… Beautiful, lingering folk is sung & played... A lovely piece with an unflinching
sense of humour ”
